In short: researchers looked at patients with both diabetes and kidney trouble and found that those taking semaglutide had better kidney outcomes than those who didn’t. Semaglutide is a man-made version of a hormone your gut releases after you eat. That hormone tells your brain you’re full and helps control blood sugar.
