New CEO to Lead Global Rollout of Non-Injectable Peptide Treatments

A biotech company called InstaMed® Pharmaceuticals has named Tracy Gibbs, PhD, as its new chief executive officer. The company says this change comes just before it plans to launch a new platform for giving peptide-based therapies without injections. The announcement is mostly about leadership and company plans, not new clinical results. Peptides are short chains of amino acids — think of them as tiny versions of the proteins your body uses to send messages. Many medicines now being developed are peptides because they can mimic natural signals in the body. Traditionally, many peptide drugs have to be injected because the digestive system breaks them down. A “non-injectable peptide platform” means the company is trying to deliver these medicines by other routes, like pills, inhalers, or skin patches, so people don’t need injections. The news itself does not present new scientific data. It’s a corporate press release announcing a leadership change timed with an upcoming global launch of their delivery technology.
