A peptide is simply a small piece of a protein — think of it as a tiny chemical that can mimic or tweak how the body’s own signals work. Some peptides are similar to hormones our bodies make, and when given as a drug they can tell cells to do things like burn more fat, build more muscle, or alter appetite.
