The short newsy version: most of the excitement comes from lab studies and animal experiments, not from strong evidence in people. There’s no big, reliable human trial proving it works the way some headlines suggest. BPC-157 is a small chain of amino acids (amino acids are the building blocks of proteins). It’s a fragment derived from a natural protein found in the stomach. People describe it as a “peptide,” which just means a short protein-like molecule that can affect how cells behave.
