Someone bought a peptide called SLU-PP from a known seller and tried to dissolve (reconstitute) it in plain sterile water. It dissolved right away, which surprised the buyer because this particular peptide is usually not water-soluble and normally needs a special solvent like acetic acid or DMSO to dissolve. The buyer told the seller they thought the vial might be the wrong compound; the seller asked them to try a second vial and to record the process, which the buyer did and reported back. SLU-PP is a synthetic peptide — think of it as a short chain of building blocks similar to what makes up proteins. Some peptides dissolve easily in water like sugar does; others are picky and need small amounts of acids or organic solvents to go into solution. If a peptide that’s supposed to be hard to dissolve suddenly dissolves in plain water, that’s a red flag.
