Stopping Mounjaro Led to Fainting? Patient Reports Low Blood Pressure After Withdrawal

Someone who was taking Mounjaro (a prescription weight-loss and diabetes drug) posted that after stopping it they felt lightheaded and then fainted for the first time in their life. Mounjaro is the brand name for tirzepatide. It’s a man-made medicine that copies two natural gut hormones that help control blood sugar and reduce appetite. In plain terms: it tells your body to release insulin when needed and also dials down hunger and food intake. People take it for type 2 diabetes and, increasingly, off-label for weight loss. It’s given as a once-weekly injection and can change how your appetite, digestion, and blood-sugar responses behave while you’re on it. What we actually know about “withdrawal” or fainting after stopping Mounjaro is limited. Most of the clinical trial data focus on benefits while people are taking the drug, and common side effects during treatment include nausea, diarrhea, and low blood sugar if you’re also on insulin or sulfonylureas.
