Which peptide could be triggering sudden, extreme sun-darkened skin?

Someone noticed that any time they go out in sunlight their skin turns dramatically darker. They listed four peptides they’re taking: KPV, MOTS‑C, “Reta” (1 mg), and kisspeptin. They wondered which of these might cause heavy skin darkening, and whether one could be a mix‑up with melanotan II (a known tanning peptide). They’re asking for a plain explanation of what might be going on. KPV is a short piece of a natural hormone related to alpha‑MSH (alpha‑melanocyte‑stimulating hormone), which in the body helps control pigment cells (melanocytes).
