Trying an anti-inflammatory gut peptide, or a copper skin peptide, once-only?

Someone on a forum asked whether to try KPV or GHK-Cu, saying they’re 24, have gut problems, and would prefer a single injection ("poke once") so are leaning toward KPV (they called it "Klow" which is shorthand). They also mentioned hearing GHK-Cu may not help younger people but were curious to try it. That’s the basic question: which peptide might make sense for their gut issue, and what are the trade-offs. KPV is a short peptide derived from a natural immune-related protein. People discuss it online for reducing inflammation, especially in the gut, because it’s thought to calm certain immune responses and help healing. GHK-Cu (glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine copper) is a tiny peptide that binds copper and is often talked about for skin repair, wound healing, and anti-aging; some claim it stimulates tissue remodeling and antioxidant effects. In plain terms: KPV is pitched as an anti-inflammatory for places like the gut, while GHK-Cu is usually framed as a general repair/skin/healing booster that uses copper to do some of its work. What the research actually shows is sparse and mostly preclinical (lab and animal) for both. For KPV, a number of studies in cells and mice suggest it can reduce gut inflammation and help mucosal healing. Human data are very limited; I don’t see large clinical trials proving it fixes chronic gut disorders. For GHK-Cu, there are lab and some small human studies for skin and wound healing, and it has measurable effects on gene expression in cells, but the evidence that it helps systemic problems or that it’s ineffective in younger people is not well-established. If you only want one injection and your priority is gut symptoms, the community leaning toward KPV makes sense. If you’re curious about trying something for general repair or skin effects, GHK-Cu is the one usually chosen. Either way, know that neither is a proven, widely approved treatment for chronic gut disease, so expectations should be cautious. Caveats and risks are important. Both peptides are mostly experimental in human use. That means uncertain dosing, unclear long-term safety, and variable quality of products sold online. Side effects can range from local irritation at the injection site to unanticipated immune or biochemical effects. If you have a medical condition or take other drugs, there could be interactions. Also, "it doesn’t really help younger people" is an unsupported generalization — we don’t have solid evidence to say GHK-Cu won’t help someone 24 years old. Finally, if you’re considering self-injecting, talk with a healthcare provider first. They can help weigh risks, check for underlying causes of gut problems, and suggest established therapies with proven safety and benefit.
