The announcement is about a patent, not a full clinical proof. A patent means BioLife has legal protection on a particular idea or technique; it doesn’t by itself show the method works in people. So, while patents can be an early step toward a pill version of injectable drugs, we don’t know from this news how well the tablet would deliver the drug, how much of the active drug would reach the bloodstream, or whether it would match the effects of existing injectables. If this platform eventually works in real patients, it could matter a lot. Many people dislike or struggle with injections.
