Semaglutide is a man-made version of a natural gut hormone that helps regulate appetite and blood sugar. In everyday terms, it tells your body to feel fuller and slows how quickly food leaves the stomach. That’s why it’s used for diabetes and weight loss. It also acts on cells through something called a receptor (think of it as a lock) as an agonist (a key that turns the lock), which triggers certain signals inside the body. The report claims a nearly 40 percent reduction in asthma attacks, but it doesn’t say here whether the study involved hundreds of people, a small group, or animals. It also doesn’t say how long the study ran or whether the participants had severe asthma, mild asthma, or asthma related to obesity.
